Black Friday 2026: was the deal real?
We record manufacturer-store prices twice a day from now until the sales. On 27 November we show which discounts beat each product's own recent price, and which only beat an inflated "was" tag.

The short answer
A Black Friday price is a real deal only if it beats what the product sold for in the weeks before. The "was" tag is a weak guide: in our 15 Oct 2026, 16:59 UTC snapshot, six weeks early, products priced $100 or more already sold a median 31.4% below their own tag at these four stores. Our price history so far covers a few hours on 15 October, so there are no verdicts yet.
How to use this page
- Find the product in the table below, or open its maker's store page from the link.
- Note today's price. That is the number to beat, not the crossed-out "was" price.
- On sale day, come back. Each tracked product will get one of the labels below, with its 30-day low and median next to it.
- If a product is not here, apply the same test yourself: compare the sale price with the lowest price you saw in October.
The labels we will use
- Real deal: at least 10% below the 30-day low
- Small saving: below the 30-day low, by less than 10%
- Not a deal: at or above the 30-day low
- Price raised before sale: the median of the 7 days before the sale is higher than the median of days 8 to 30
This follows the idea behind EU "was" price rules: the reference should be a recent selling price. Read the full method or how to tell if a deal is real.
Flagship prices today vs the store's "was" tag
Prices from each maker's US store, checked 2026-10-15. These are not verdicts. Every row stays "History building" until we have 30 days of prices.

"Was" tags by brand, 15 Oct 2026, 16:59 UTC
Products priced $100 or more, a rough filter that leaves out most accessories and parts. Full data in the was price study.
| Brand | Products | Showing a "was" tag | Median gap | 30% or more below |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dreame | 207 | 78 | 33% | 42 |
| eufy | 207 | 0 | None listed | 0 |
| Roborock | 115 | 79 | 34.3% | 51 |
| TCL | 133 | 75 | 30% | 38 |
eufy's US store shows almost no "was" tags, so its sale-day verdicts will rest on price history alone. A tag can be a real launch price, so a big gap is a warning sign, not proof of a fake discount.
