Robot vacuum height database: which models fit under furniture?

Compare robot vacuum heights in mm and inches from manufacturer specs. See which current models can fit under low sofas and beds.

The short answer

The shortest model in this starter set is the eufy RoboVac 11S MAX at 72.4 mm (2.85 in), per eufy US product page. The Roborock Saros 10R is 79.8 mm with its LiDAR retracted. Measure your furniture gap before you buy: a few millimetres decide whether the robot fits.

Primary height is the lowest official figure (retracted LiDAR where that applies). Prices are dated store snapshots when we have them.

How to measure

  1. Slide a ruler or tape under the lowest point of the sofa or bed frame.
  2. Write down the clear gap in millimetres.
  3. Subtract about 5 mm for carpet pile, uneven floors and measurement error.
  4. Only shortlist robots below that number.

Next step

Match height first, then dock type and mopping. The robot vacuum buying guide covers those tiers.

Common questions

How low does a robot vacuum need to be?

Measure the gap under your sofa or bed from the floor to the underside. Leave a few millimetres of spare room. A robot that is 99 mm tall will not fit under an 90 mm gap.

Why do some robots list two heights?

Models with a rising LiDAR tower are shorter when the tower is retracted. Use the retracted figure for furniture clearance and check the elevated figure if the robot parks or maps with the tower up.

Is the slimmest robot always the best?

No. Slim bodies often trade away battery size, mop docks or suction. Pick the shortest robot that still has the navigation and dock features you need.
